CONFERENCIA EN INGLÉS / LECTURE IN ENGLISH

Professor Armando Jiménez will give a lecture about the ancestral influences in Henry Moore’s works in English.

Henry Moore, the most famous British artist of the twentieth century, was attracted by the greatness of the Megalithic monument of Stonehenge ever since his childhood. Throughout his life he made about thirty trips to Stonehenge, taking photographs and drawing sketches.

As a great lover of printmaking, Moore made the effort in a large suite of fifteen lithographies dedicated to his favourite monument.

Now the complete Stonehenge suite by Henry Moore is shown in the Spanish Contemporary Engraving Museum.
